The owners of the Hostel are a group of international travelers responsible for providing a great experience for guests for the duration of their stay. Not only do they live on the island but personally look after the hostel with the help of our biligual staff.
Private rooms, shared dorms, Individual lockers, air conditioning, wi-fi, bilingual reception, mosquito nets, common areas with smart tv, spacious kitchen, hammocks, cinema screen & large outside area with a beautiful garden.
We are located in the centre of the Vila do Abrãao just 400 meters from the tourist docks and a stones throw away from the local supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The town is a great spot for anyone and everyone who loves beaches, trails, waterfalls and boat tours.

Come to Ilha Grande to chill and enjoy over a hundred beaches that exist on the island, walk the many trails, climb the famous Pico de Papagaio, take a refreshing dip in the waterfalls surrounded by the Atlantic forest and recharge your bateries during our 12 month summer here just off the coast of Rio de Janeiro.

Come to the Island to relax, connect with nature, with the intention of reducing our impact on the environment, producing less trash, sharing what we have to offer, thinking of those with which we share this space. In the Hostel we try to separate all recyclables, re-use all organic waste in our compost, use and produce our cleaning products in a biodegradable way and offer an amazing vegetarian breakfast with vegan options. In Mambembe Ilha Grande we have combined our original artistic and gypsy identity with the energy of the town and surrounding forest creating an environment to share cultures and experiences making the most of all the island has to offer.
